Some have asked me for new music for modern and contemporary, particularly Graham Class, accompaniment music.

This particular selection came via a collaboration with LIsa Thurrell of Kanopy Dance kanopydance.org in Wisconsin. Via video she was able to remind me of the nuances as well as structure of specific exercises. I would play to these videos, send them back to her and and then she and her dancers would dance to what I had sent, filming the results. Then I might make another pass, or add overdubs, either way gradually tightening the sync of sound and movement.

I deliberately styled the soundworld on how I might have played for these exercises in NYC all those years ago in the nineties and noughties, that is centred on congas and piano, with a few other textures thrown in as 'sweetening'.

More will come later, although unfortunately my studio is on hiatus, and awaits some much needed upgrades.
